Extended Warranty

General Definitions: Domestic Electrical / Electronic Products – Includes Products such as Colour Televisions, Washing Machines, Refrigerators, Music Systems, Air Conditioners, Water Purifier, Air Purifier, OTG, Microwave Ovens, Printers or any other Products that may be included from time to time.

Product / Products – The Products should be for domestic & personal use only and not be used for commercial, rental or profit generation purposes excluding computing products for small office / home office use.

Official Channels – Manufacturer, Manufacturer’s subsidiary company, Authorized Dealer / Distributor appointed by the Manufacturer, or its subsidiary and Independent Extended Warranty Service Providers located within India.

Normal Operating Condition – Ability of the Product to perform its specified function subject to the acceptable level of change in performance due to ageing or climatic conditions. The acceptable level of change for this purpose will be as per the respective manufacturers’ specifications.

Normal Use – Use of the Product in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines for Product usage including but not limited to regular maintenance & upkeep of the Product, usage of specified protection devices such as voltage stabilizer.

Breakdown – means the mechanical and/or electrical defects and/or failure of a Product that cause it to not function in its intended manner.

Covered Breakdown – Breakdown covered by the Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee during the Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee period.

The Covered Breakdown will vary for each Product in accordance with the Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee for the said Product. In home basis – The repair technician will visit the premises where the Product has been installed to provide the repair service. Carry – in basis – The Product can be optionally carried / transported to the designated authorized repair centerif desired by the customer for repair services.

Call out charges – Charge payable to arrange for the repair technician to visit the premises where the Product has been installed.

Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee – The original warranty / guarantee given by the respective Manufacturer in respect of a Product. Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee Period – The uninterrupted period of the Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee covers as stated on the original official Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee certificate or publication.

You, Your – The Service Contract holder.

This Service Contract is a contract between You, the Service Contract holder and Us, Retailer (hereinafter called the “Company”). This service contract booklet, the information provided by You and the Service Contract Certificate form the contract between You and Us.

In consideration of the service contract fee paid by You, we will provide the cost of repair for the Covered Breakdown of Your Domestic Electrical / Electronic Product as mentioned in the certificate, during the period of Service Contract, subject to the terms, conditions, exceptions, and limitations contained herein or endorsed hereupon in future.

Service Contract Benefits: Mechanical and electrical breakdown to the extent provided by the manufacturer’s warranty for Domestic Electrical / Electronic Products manufactured in India or is legally imported in India & sold through Official Channels supported by an invoice & Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee. The Extended Warranty cover commences on expiration of the Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee period and is for a period mentioned in the “Service Contract Details” section of the Service Contract Certificate. Any Product failure arising before the commencement of the Service Contract period i.e., during the Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee period or after the expiration of the Service Contract period will not be covered by this service contract.

Products Covered: This Service Contract covers specific models of Domestic Electrical / Electronic Products such as Color Televisions, Washing Machines, Refrigerators, Music Systems, Air Conditioners, Water Purifier, Air Purifier, OTG, Printers, Microwave Ovens, and any other Product that we include from time to time. For the complete and updated list of Products & models covered please call the Company at the phone numbers mentioned on the Service Contract Certificate.

What We Cover: Company will organize for repair to Normal Operating Condition or replace at our discretion a covered electrical / electronic Product, after it has suffered a Covered Breakdown during normal Use. This Service Contract covers the cost of Parts and Labour for all Products on a carry-in basis and call out charges for in-home service (where applicable) on certain non-portable Products. You will be advised which coverage is provided when You report the failure / claim. If a repair will cost more than the purchase price of a replacement, we have the right to replace the product with a new equivalent model with similar specification, not to exceed the original purchase price you paid for the product. Should a replacement model not be available, you will be given a monetary refund not exceeding the original purchase price of the insured Product after deducting depreciation at the rate of 10% on the product value for each passing year. This decision is at our sole discretion. In the event of Product replacement or monetary refund this coverage under the Service Contract Certificate will prematurely terminate with no refund of fee & the Product becomes our property. Food damage loss that results from a mechanical, electronic, or electrical component failure of a refrigerator or freezer up to Rs. 1,500 also covered. We are not responsible for any consequential or incidental damages arising from the use or loss of use of the Product. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

This contract is valid only in India on Products which are purchased and repaired within India.

Conditions of Cover: This Service Contract may only be purchased within 30 days of delivery of a covered Product And is only valid if: 1) The Product is manufactured in India or is legally imported in India & sold through Official Channels supported by an invoice & Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee. 2) The Product is purchased new from the manufacturers’ authorized dealer / distributor and is supported by Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee of not less than 12 months and not exceeding 36 months. 3) The Product is for domestic and personal use only. Cover is not valid on Products intended for commercial, rental or profit generation purposes excluding computing products for small office / home office use. 4) The Product is used in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines for Product usage including but not limited to regular maintenance & upkeep of the Product. 5) Manufacturer’s Warranty / Guarantee remains valid throughout its validity period. 6) We provide onsite services for appliances and pick drop facility for digital products during the active plan period. Customers are strictly advised not to take the breakdown unit directly to Authorized Service Centre unless instructed by WideCare personnel. WideCare will not be liable to pay entire repair charges if above instruction is breached as the unit may be tempered in transit and will pay as per their individual repair estimate assessment

How to Claim: a. After the manufacturer warranty expires, during extended warranty period please give call on 9220840000 or write at support@widecare.in Important Conditions related to Claims: a. All repairs will be made by our authorized repair agents. b. This contract will be cancelled in the event of Your fraud, attempted fraud, or non-disclosure of any changes that affect this contract and no refund of Service Contract fee will be due to You. c. You must comply with the claims procedure set out in the “How to Claim” section above. We will not organize any repairs or make any payment, under this Service Contract if You fail to comply. d. If at the time of any failure / damage to the covered Product, the Product is covered in part or full by any insurance either by the proposer or any other person, this Company shall not be liable to pay or contribute more than its ratable proportion of such loss, failure or damage.

Cancellation: -You may cancel this contract within 15 days of purchase of service contract. After expiry of 15 days, no cancellation and refund will be permitted. – To cancel Your service contract, simply return this certificate along with a notice of cancellation to the company from whom You purchased this Service Contract. – We may cancel the contract at any time by giving You 15 days’ notice in writing to Your last known address. You will be eligible for a pro-rata refund of the fee You paid. – In the event of theft, fraud, sale or return of the Product to Us, we will cancel this Service Contract with no refund.

Limitation of Liability: Per Repair – Our liability for any one repair shall be limited to the original purchase price paid for the applicable Product or the retail price of the model of a similar specification and like functionality, at the time of said repair, whichever is lower.

Aggregate – The total of all benefits paid or payable during the Service Contract Certificate period towards any particular Product holding a Service Contract Certificate covered under this Service Contract shall be limited to the original purchase price paid for the applicable Product or the retail price of the model of a similar specification and like functionality, whichever is lower.

EXCLUSIONS:

What is Not Covered: 1) Costs implicitly or explicitly covered by any manufacturers, suppliers or repairers guarantee or warranty. 2) Non-operating and cosmetic damage to the Product, such as damage to paintwork, Product finish, dents or scratches. 3) Accessories used in or with the Product unless covered under a separate extended warranty service contract. (for example, computer software, modem, scanner and charger). 4) Replacement of any consumable item or accessory. These include, but are not limited to:- plugs, fuses, batteries, light bulbs, light covers, cables, filters, attachments, belts, toner, ribbons, drums, tapes or software, and add-on options incorporated in a Product for which the Service Contract was purchased. 5) Normal wear and tear of items not integral to the functioning of the Product. 6) Routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments or alignments, overhaul, modification and de-scaling. 7) Damage caused by unauthorized repair, theft, burglary and accident including earthquake, storm and or hurricane, abuse, misuse, sand, dust, water, negligence, fire, flood, lightning, malicious damage, impact, corrosion, battery leakage, acts of god, animal or insect infestation or intrusion. 8) Damage resulting from power outage, power surges or dips, fluctuating voltage, inadequate or improper voltage or current. 9) Cost of removal or re-installation of the Product. 10) Reception or transmission problems resulting from external causes. 11) Problems or defects not covered under the original Manufacturer’s Warranty/ Guarantee. 12) Batteries, internal or external to the Product. 13) Breakdowns caused by computer virus or realignments to Products. 14) Recalls or modifications to the Product. 15) Failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. 16) Costs arising from incorrect installation, modification or maintenance. 17) Costs if no fault is found with the Product. 18) Costs arising from being unable to use the Product or from damage which results from the Breakdown of the Product. 19) Commercial usage except product used in rental property, as identified in the Service Contract Certificate. 20) Damage/failure caused before or during Product delivery. 21) Use of batteries, charger and / or accessories not approved by the manufacturer, incorrect electrical leads or connection. 22) The cost of repairing, restoring or reconfiguring computer software. 23) We are not responsible for any consequential or incidental damages arising from the use or loss of use of the Product. Your & the Customers statutory rights are unaffected.

DISPUTES: Any and all disputes relating to this Extended Warranty – Consumer Durables & Home Appliances Additional 1 Year shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai only.

FORCE MAJEURE: Neither party shall be liable for non-performance of its obligations under this Contract where such service failure is due to Force Majeure i.e. due or attributable to any act of God, orders, restrictions or regulation of Government, Central or State, war working conditions, hostilities, riots, civil commotion, strike, lock out, lock down, labour trouble, explosion, or any other cause or circumstance of whatsoever nature beyond control

Damage Protection

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

  1. Definitions – Insured Equipment – New Mobile Handset / Tablets (Mobile Device) / Portable Device legally imported in India, purchased through an official channel supported by a valid proof of purchase. Sum Insured – Cost of equipment only as per the purchase invoice including GST Beneficiary – Purchaser of the mobile device as per the purchase invoice. However, beneficiary of the mobile device can be direct family members viz. his/ her spouse, children or parents. If the purchaser is a “Company”, beneficiary shall mean any representative / employee of the company authorized to use the mobile device.
  2. Cover – Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage, subject to Terms and Conditions, definitions and Exclusions as mentioned in Policy Certificate.
  3. Conditions – a. Geographical Limit – India b. Policy is not transferable. c. Policy must be bought within 30 Days from the date of new device sale. d. In case of Accidental Damage, notify Service Provider within 48 hours from the time damage has taken place. e. The request for change in IMEI No. / Serial No. should be intimated to the insurer not later than 30 days after replacement in case of DOA / Swap. f. Any correction (Spelling mistake) in policy holder’s name should be intimated within 7 days from the date of policy sale supported with a valid identity proof. g. Policy issued on a reinstatement basis. h. Claim settlement in case of Total Loss will be done by replacement / like to like device.
  4. Salvage – NA
  5. Excess – 2.5% of Claim Value, Minimum Rs.500/- for every claim for total loss cases.
  6. Total Loss – On Total Loss, Like to Like mobile devices would be provided.
  7. Partial Loss – Maximum liability shall be cost of repair and / or replacement, subject to policy excess. If the repair cost or maximum liability at the time of loss exceeds the total loss settlement, insurer shall settle the claim on Total Loss basis under BER (Beyond Economic Repair). If the repair value is more than the net claim payable, beneficiary has to bear the difference between repair value and approved amount.
  8. Depreciation – There will be No Depreciation applicable.
  9. Maximum 2 Claims are permissible during the tenure of protection plan.
  10. Total liability during the tenure of protection plan will be cost of equipment only as per the purchase invoice including GST.
  11. Period of Risk – Period of Risk shall mean a continuous period of 12 months commencing from the date of purchase of protection plan from WideCare by the first buyer of the product.
  12. We provide onsite services for appliances and pick drop facility for digital products during the active plan period. Customers are strictly advised not to take the breakdown unit directly to Authorized Service Centre unless instructed by WideCare personnel. WideCare will not be liable to pay entire repair charges if above instruction is breached as the unit may be tempered in transit and will pay as per their individual repair estimate assessment

EXCLUSIONS:

  1. a. Loss or Damage to the equipment due to mysterious circumstances / disappearance or unexplained reasons.
    b. Loss or Damage to the equipment which has had its Serial no. / IMEI no. label or similar identification labels removed, defaced or altered.
    c. Fraud or Criminal Activity on the part of the Insured or the Beneficiary.
    d. Loss resulting from detention or confiscation by customs or other Government or Public Authorities.
    e. Any failure of the equipment to operate as a result of problems with respect to the network infrastructure, Beneficiary’s Network subscription or similar service issues.
    f. Loss arising due to any unlawful act or illegal activities including criminal acts or acts of war or the device is used with permission of the Bonafied Beneficiary having knowledge of such acts.
    g. Consequential loss of any kind or description or legal liability of any kind.
    h. Liability to any party of the nature including but not limited to liability of Authorized Service Centers to other parties.
    i. Loss or damage caused by incorrect storage, poor maintenance, willful negligence, incorrect installation, incorrect set-up, unless the Authorized Service Centre’s representative would confirm otherwise with due substantiation.
    j. Loss or damage as a result to attack by unauthorized software / virus, software faults and manufacturing defects owing to which the equipment fails to operate.
    k. Loss or damage that is covered by a supplier, dealer or factory warranty.
    l. Any loss if the ownership of the equipment is transferred.
    m. Any consequence arising from War, War like operations (whether War declared or not) , Act of foreign enemy, Hostilities, Civil War, Nuclear Reaction, Nuclear Radiation, Radioactive contamination by any source, Rebellion, Insurrection, Civil Commotion, Military usurped power, Seizure, Capture, Confiscation, Arrest, Restraints, and or Detainments by order of any Government or any other Authority.
    n. Gradually developing flaws, defects, cracks or partial fractures in any part not necessitating immediate stoppage, although at some future time repair or the renewal of the parts affected may be necessary.
    o. Deterioration of or wearing away or wearing out any part of any machine, marring or scratching of insured equipment caused by or naturally resulting from normal use or exposure.
    p. Any manufacturing defect which is covered under Manufacturer’s warranty, Product defects, whether latent / inherent or not.
    q. Any loss of or damage to the SIM Card / Memory Card unless caused by an insured peril.
    r. Any loss of or damage to any electronic data and or mobile phone software / operating system, storage media, data / records or similar intangible items unless damage to or loss insured item is covered within terms and conditions of policy.
    s. Internal Leakage of the Battery, unless caused by an insured peril.
    t. Mechanical or Electrical Breakdown or Electronic Derangement or malfunction unless caused by an external accidental means or liquid damage.
    u. Intentional overloading of the instrument. Loss or Damage due to any experiments or tests and / or alterations resulting into any abnormal conditions.
    v. Cost of replacement of Battery unless caused by an accident or Liquid damage to the equipment.
    w. Loss or Damage to the accessories of whatsoever nature even if included in the purchase price.

Photographs of Damaged Device (IMEI No. / Serial No. should be clearly visible) If a Claim is in any respect fraudulent and / or if any false declaration is made or used in support thereof and / or if any fraudulent means or devices are used by the insured or any one acting on his behalf to obtain benefit under this policy, then all benefits under this policy shall be forfeited.

One Time Screen Replacement

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. Definitions– InsuredEquipment–NewMobileHandset/Tablets(MobileDevice)/PortableDevicelegallyimportedinIndia,purchasedthroughanofficialchannelsupportedbyavalid proof ofpurchase. Sum Insured – Cost of equipment only as per the purchase invoice including GST Beneficiary–Purchaserofthemobiledeviceasperthepurchaseinvoice.However,beneficiaryofthemobiledevicecanbedirectfamilymembersviz.his/herspouse, children orparents. If the purchaser is a “Company”, beneficiary shall mean any representative / employee of the company authorized to use the mobile device.
2. Cover– One Time Screen Replacement due to Accidental Damage only, subject to Terms and Conditions, definitions and Exclusions as mentioned in Certificate.
3. Conditions–
a. Geographical Limit –India
b. Policy is nottransferable.
c. Policy must be bought within 30 Days from the date of new devicesale.
d. In case of Accidental Damage, notify Service Provider within 48 hours from the time damage has takenplace.
e. TherequestforchangeinIMEINo./SerialNo.shouldbeintimatedtotheinsurernotlaterthan30daysafterreplacementincaseofDOA/Swap.
f. Anycorrection(Spellingmistake)inpolicyholder’snameshouldbeintimatedwithin7daysfromthedateofpolicysalesupportedwithavalididentityproof.
g. Policy issued on a reinstatementbasis.

EXCLUSIONS:
11. Exclusions The Insurer shall not be liable for –
a. Loss or Damage to the equipment due to mysterious circumstances / disappearance or unexplained reasons.
b. Loss or Damage to the equipment which has had its Serial no. / IMEI no. label or similar identification labels removed, defaced or altered.
c. Fraud or Criminal Activity on the part of the Insured or the Beneficiary.
d. Loss resulting from detention or confiscation by customs or other Government or Public Authorities.
e. Any failure of the equipment to operate as a result of problems with respect to the network infrastructure, Beneficiary’s Network subscription or similar service issues.
f. Loss arising due to any unlawful act or illegal activities including criminal acts or acts of war or the device is used with permission of the Bonafied Beneficiary having knowledge of such acts.
g. Consequential loss of any kind or description or legal liability of any kind.
h. Liability to any party of the nature including but not limited to liability of Authorized Service Centers to other parties.
i. Loss or damage caused by incorrect storage, poor maintenance, willful negligence, incorrect installation, incorrect set-up, unless the Authorized Service Centre’s representative would confirm otherwise with due substantiation.
j. Loss or damage as a result to attack by unauthorized software / virus, software faults and manufacturing defects owing to which the equipment fails to operate.
k. Loss or damage that is covered by a supplier, dealer or factory warranty.
l. Any loss if the ownership of the equipment is transferred.
m. Any consequence arising from War, War like operations (whether War declared or not) , Act of foreign enemy, Hostilities, Civil War, Nuclear Reaction, Nuclear Radiation, Radioactive contamination by any source, Rebellion, Insurrection, Civil Commotion, Military usurped power, Seizure, Capture, Confiscation, Arrest, Restraints, and or Detainments by order of any Government or any other Authority.
n. Gradually developing flaws, defects, cracks or partial fractures in any part not necessitating immediate stoppage, although at some future time repair or the renewal of the parts affected may be necessary.
o. Deterioration of or wearing away or wearing out any part of any machine, marring or scratching of insured equipment caused by or naturally resulting from normal use or exposure.
p. Any manufacturing defect which is covered under Manufacturer’s warranty, Product defects, whether latent / inherent or not.
q. Any loss of or damage to the SIM Card / Memory Card unless caused by an insured peril.
r. Any loss of or damage to any electronic data and or mobile phone software / operating system, storage media, data / records or similar intangible items unless damage to or loss insured item is covered within terms and conditions of policy.
s. Internal Leakage of the Battery, unless caused by an insured peril.
t. Loss or damage caused due to Liquid / Water damage, Mechanical or Electrical Breakdown or Electronic Derangement or malfunction unless caused by an external accidental means.
u. Intentional overloading of the instrument. Loss or Damage due to any experiments or tests and / or alterations resulting into any abnormal conditions.
v. Cost of replacement of Battery unless caused by an accident or Liquid damage to the equipment.
w. Loss or Damage to the accessories of whatsoever nature even if included in the purchase price.

2years Complete care Terms & Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Accidental and Liquid Damage Protection Plan

  1. Definitions – Insured Equipment – New Mobile Handset / Tablets (Mobile Device) / Portable Device legally imported in India, purchased through an official channel supported by a valid proof of purchase. Sum Insured – Cost of equipment only as per the purchase invoice including GST Beneficiary – Purchaser of the mobile device as per the purchase invoice.     f. Any correction (Spelling mistake) in policy holder’s name should be intimated within 7 days from the date of policy sale supported with a valid identity proof.
    g. Policy issued on a reinstatement basis.
    h. Claim settlement in case of Total Loss will be done by replacement / like to like device.
  4. Salvage – NA
  5. Excess – 2.5% of Claim Value, Minimum Rs.500/- for every claim for total loss cases.
  6. Total Loss – On Total Loss, Like to Like mobile devices would be provided.
  7. Partial Loss – Maximum liability shall be cost of repair and / or replacement, subject to policy excess. If the repair cost or maximum liability at the time of loss exceeds the total loss settlement, insurer shall settle the claim on Total Loss basis under BER (Beyond Economic Repair). If the repair value is more than the net claim payable, beneficiary has to bear the difference between repair value and approved amount.
  8. Depreciation – There will be No Depreciation applicable during first year of the plan. Depreciation applicable during 2 nd year of the plan – Age of Device | Depreciation <=365 Days | 0% >=366 Days &<=550 Days | 40% >=551 Days &<=730 Days | 50%
  9. Maximum 2 Claims are permissible during the tenure of protection plan.
  10. Total liability during the tenure of protection plan will be cost of equipment only as per thepurchase invoice including GST.
  11. Period of Risk – Period of Risk shall mean a continuous period of 24 months commencing from the date of purchase of protection plan from WideCare by the first buyer of the product.
  12. We provide onsite services for appliances and pick drop facility for digital products during the active plan period. Customers are strictly advised not to take the breakdown unit directly to Authorized Service Centre unless instructed by WideCare personnel. WideCare will not be liable to pay entire repair charges if above instruction is breached as the unit may be tempered in transit and will pay as per their individual repair estimate assessment

EXCLUSIONS:

  1. a. Loss or Damage to the equipment due to mysterious circumstances / disappearance or unexplained reasons.
    b. Loss or Damage to the equipment which has had its Serial no. / IMEI no. label or similar identification labels removed, defaced or altered.
    c. Fraud or Criminal Activity on the part of the Insured or the Beneficiary.
    d. Loss resulting from detention or confiscation by customs or other Government or Public Authorities.
    e. Any failure of the equipment to operate as a result of problems with respect to the network infrastructure, Beneficiary’s Network subscription or similar service issues.
    f. Loss arising due to any unlawful act or illegal activities including criminal acts or acts of war or the device is used with permission of the Bonafied Beneficiary having knowledge of such acts.
    g. Consequential loss of any kind or description or legal liability of any kind.
    h. Liability to any party of the nature including but not limited to liability of Authorized Service Centers to other parties.
    i. Loss or damage caused by incorrect storage, poor maintenance, willful negligence, incorrect installation, incorrect set-up, unless the Authorized Service Centre’s representative would confirm otherwise with due substantiation.
    j. Loss or damage as a result to attack by unauthorized software / virus, software faults and manufacturing defects owing to which the equipment fails to operate.
    k. Loss or damage that is covered by a supplier, dealer or factory warranty.
    l. Any loss if the ownership of the equipment is transferred.
    m. Any consequence arising from War, War like operations (whether War declared or not) , Act of foreign enemy, Hostilities, Civil War, Nuclear Reaction, Nuclear Radiation, Radioactive contamination by any source, Rebellion, Insurrection, Civil Commotion, Military usurped power, Seizure, Capture, Confiscation, Arrest, Restraints, and or Detainments by order of any Government or any other Authority.
    n. Gradually developing flaws, defects, cracks or partial fractures in any part not necessitating immediate stoppage, although at some future time repair or the renewal of the parts affected may be necessary.
    o. Deterioration of or wearing away or wearing out any part of any machine, marring or scratching of insured equipment caused by or naturally resulting from normal use or exposure.
    p. Any manufacturing defect which is covered under Manufacturer’s warranty, Product defects, whether latent / inherent or not.
    q. Any loss of or damage to the SIM Card / Memory Card unless caused by an insured peril.
    r. Any loss of or damage to any electronic data and or mobile phone software / operating system, storage media, data / records or similar intangible items unless damage to or loss insured item is covered within terms and conditions of policy.
    s. Internal Leakage of the Battery, unless caused by an insured peril.
    t. Mechanical or Electrical Breakdown or Electronic Derangement or malfunction unless caused by an external accidental means or liquid damage.
    u. Intentional overloading of the instrument. Loss or Damage due to any experiments or tests and / or alterations resulting into any abnormal conditions.
    v. Cost of replacement of Battery unless caused by an accident or Liquid damage to the equipment.
    w. Loss or Damage to the accessories of whatsoever nature even if included in the purchase price.

  3. Documents Required while Accidental Damage Claim Intimation –

Photographs of Damaged Device (IMEI No. / Serial No. should be clearly visible) If a Claim is in any respect fraudulent and / or if any false declaration is made or used in support thereof and / or if any fraudulent means or devices are used by the insured or any one acting on his behalf to obtain benefit under this policy, then all benefits under this policy shall be forfeited.

Terms & Conditions – Extended Warranty –

Extended Warranty is a warranty given by WideCare Pvt. Ltd. to its customers for their mobile handsets / tablets purchased from any store in India for a period of one year from the date of expiry of relevant manufacturer’s warranty. This Extended Warranty is given against Malfunctioning of mobile handsets / tablets causing stoppage of normal operation and necessitating immediate repair or replacement of spare parts before normal operation can be resumed. Terms and Conditions –

  1. This EW is valid on any make or model of mobile handset / tablet for one year from the expiry of relevant manufacturer’s warranty.
  2. The benefit under this EW shall be available only to the First-Hand user of the mobile handset /tablet and this EW is non-transferrable.
  3. EW covers electrical defects to the device both in material and workmanship under normal use, discovered during the EW period of one year. Any losses during warranty period given by the manufacturer shall not be covered under this EW.
  4. The EW starts from expiry of the manufacturer’s warranty for one calendar year.
  5. New or Equivalent or Reconditioned parts may be used by service center while repairing themobile handset / tablet.
  6. Customers should keep back-up of copies / written records of all important content and data stored in the mobile handset / tablet before the delivery of the mobile handset / tablet for EW Service, and disable any security passwords. It is the customer’s responsibility for reinstallation of such information, data, software, other applications and passwords in the mobile handset / tablet. Service Centre shall not under any circumstances be liable, either expressly or impliedly, for any damages or losses of any kind whatsoever resulting from loss of, damage to, or corruption of, content or data during repairs of the mobile handset / tablet.
  7. WideCare’s liability shall not exceed, in any case, more than 50% of the market value of the mobile handset / tablet under repairs or its depreciable value (at normal rate of 30% per year) whichever is less.
  8. This policy is issued on non-refundable basis, for any reason whatsoever.
  9. We provide onsite services for appliances and pick drop facility for digital products during the active plan period. Customers are strictly advised not to take the breakdown unit directly to Authorized Service Centre unless instructed by WideCare personnel. WideCare will not be liable to pay entire repair charges if above instruction is breached as the unit may be tempered in transit and will pay as per their individual repair estimate assessment

Exclusions –

1) Damage or Failure caused due to negligence / accidental damage / misuse / unauthorized modification / alteration / normal wear & tear / tampering / liquid traces in the device / entry of insect, vermin or foreign object in device / voltage fluctuation / natural calamities / act of god / rough handling / exposure to moisture, dampness or extreme thermal or environmental conditions or a rapid change in such conditions / corrosion /oxidation / virus infection / defective function of the cellular network or other system / forcible attachment into USB Port resulting in damage of pins / using liquids or non – recommended cleaners on screen or CD-ROM lenses and use of accessories not approved / recommended in users’ manual.

2) Batteries, Chargers, Handsfree, Headphones, Cables, Accessories, Attachments, Keyboards, Keypads, Consumables, Software etc. does not cover under this Extended Warranty.

3) Warranty will be void if the original serial number is removed, obliterated, defaced or altered from the device.

4) Extended Warranty does not cover any compatibility / connectivity issue.

5) Extended Warranty does not cover third party claims against customer for loss or damages, loss of profit, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, loss of records or information, loss of use of the product or any associated equipment, or indirect, incidental or consequential losses or damages of any nature whatsoever.

6) Extended Warranty does not cover physical damage to the surface of the Product including but not limited to cracks or scratches on the LCD screen or camera lens.

7) Extended Warranty does not cover defects caused by the fact that the battery has been short- circuited or by the fact that the seals of the battery enclosure or the cells are broken or show evidence of tampering or by the fact that the battery has been used in equipment other than those for which it has been specified.

8) Extended Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear to magnetic heads, audio, video laser pick-ups, TV picture tubes / Panels if the product is used in commercial, business, industrial, educational of rental applications.

9) Extended Warranty will automatically terminate on the expiry of its validity even if the product may not be in use for any time during the extended warranty period for any reason.

FORCE MAJEURE: Neither party shall be liable for non-performance of its obligations under this Contract where such service failure is due to Force Majeure i.e. due or attributable to any act of God, orders, restrictions or regulation of Government, Central or State, war working conditions, hostilities, riots, civil commotion, strike, lock out, lock down, labour trouble, explosion, or any other cause or circumstance of whatsoever nature beyond control

AMC for Air Conditioner

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

1) This Annual Maintenance Contract (here in referred to as AMC) is an Optional Service Contract offered by WideCare Private Ltd to its Customers.

2) This AMC shall cover specified make and model of the products(s) under Contract for ensuring proper working condition.

3) AMC is non-transferable and shall be available only to the first-hand user of the product.

4) AMC shall be valid for period as mentioned in AMC Contract only.

5) AMC can be bought within 30 days from date of purchase of product or 3 months before the expiry of brand warranty period.

6) AMC will be offered to Customer other than Point 5 above only after inspection of the product and ensuring that the product is in working condition. However, if product is outside warranty and not in working condition, then the product will be repaired on chargeable basis first and then AMC can be taken/issued to customer on exceptional basis as decided by the Company.

7) AMC (Comprehensive) covers 2 scheduled maintenance visits in a year and only Operational parts which are critical to the ensure performance of the product’s essential functions (Cost of all spare components that are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty), Cost of Refrigerant gas refilling if required and repair of associated gas leakage if required (if the gas leakage is not due to damage / mishandling etc), Condenser coil and Cooling coil replacement is covered once in a year in case of Air Conditioner.

8) This policy is issued on non-refundable basis, for any reason whatsoever. There shall be no refund of the charges for unexpired period.

9) The product shall be made available for servicing as and when our Authorised Service Engineer calls for rendering periodical servicing visit. Failure to do so by Customer will be treated as a service rendered and no refund shall accrue on this account.

10) Every visit by our Authorised Service Engineer will be made within reasonable time from receipt of a complaint for breakdown of the product.

11) Service will be provided during the normal business hours on working days of the Company and no visits will be made on Sunday / Holidays. Customers are requested to ensure that Service Engineer who is attending or visiting during complaint carry his ID card for identification purpose.

12) Customer will have to register his complaint at Call Centre numbers and Email Ids mentioned in this Contract

13) Company’s Authorized Service Centre / Engineer will only be authorized to perform Repairs / Service under this AMC for all covered product(s).

14) All faulty parts which are covered under AMC shall be replaced with compatible new or equivalent or reconditioned working parts while repairing the product under this AMC. The replaced parts must be handed over to the Service Engineer.

15) While Company shall make best effort to give preferential service attention to emergency breakdown of the product, the company shall not be held responsible for any loss arising due to delay in service.

16) During AMC, for cases where the product set cannot be repaired at customer location, the unit may be required to be taken to service centre for repairs.

17) Neither party shall be liable for non-performance of its obligations under this Contract where such service failure is due to Force Majeure i.e. due or attributable to any act of God,orders, restrictions, or regulation of Government, Central or State, war working conditions, hostilities, riots, civil commotion, strike, lock out, lock down, labour trouble, explosion, or any other cause or circumstance of whatsoever nature beyond control.

18) The purchaser may transfer AMC if location of the product is changed within the service network of WideCare in any state, only in condition that the un-installation & reinstallation of the product from one place to another place is done by authorized personnel of WideCare only. The customer has to register his request at WideCare call centre to request change of location. WideCare authorized service centre will carry out un-installation and reinstallation on chargeable basis and thereafter, the AMC will continue for unexpired period.

19) We provide onsite services for appliances and pick drop facility for digital products during the active plan period. 20) Limitation of Liability -Per Repair – Our liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product. If a repair will cost more than the purchase price of a replacement, we have the right to replace the product with a new equivalent model with similar specification, not to exceed the original purchase price you paid for the product. Should a replacement model not be available, you will be given a monetary refund not exceeding the original purchase price of the insured Product after deducting depreciation at the rate of 10% on the product value for each passing year.

EXCLUSIONS:

1) Damage or Failure caused due to negligence / misuse / unauthorized modification or adjustment / alteration / normal wear & tear / tampering / liquid traces in the device /entry of insect, vermin or foreign object in device / voltage fluctuation / rat bites / natural calamities / act of god / rough handling / Candles mishandling / exposure to moisture, dampness or extreme thermal or environmental conditions or a rapid change in such conditions / corrosion /oxidation / forcible attachment / using liquids or nonrecommended cleaners on panels &screen / use of accessories not approved / recommended in users’ manual.

2) Attachments, Consumables, Cosmetic Parts, Cables, Softwares etc, Plastic & Rubber Parts, Lamp, interconnecting cable, Rubber pads for Remote Control, interconnecting Copper Tubes, Aesthetic Parts & Stabilizer, Cabinet of the outdoor unit, Painting of body, Sheet metal parts, any styling decorative material, front grill, are not covered under this AMC.

3) Un-installation &Re-installation of the Product in case of change of location requested by Customer is also not covered under AMC.

4) AMC will be void if the original serial number is removed, obliterated, defaced, or altered from the product.

5) AMC does not cover third party claims against customer for loss or damages, loss of profit, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, loss of records orinformation, loss of use of the product or any associated equipment, or indirect, incidental, or consequential losses or damages of any nature whatsoever.

6) If the product is used in Commercial, Business, Industrial, Educational or Rental applications.

7) Upgradation – In case product needs up-gradation due to reason not under control of Company, customer must accept up-gradation at prevailing rates.

8) AMC will automatically terminate on the expiry of its validity even if the product may not be in use for any time during the primary warranty period for anyreason.

AMC for Water Purifier

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

5) AMC can be bought within 30 days from date of purchase of product or 3 months before the expiry of brand warranty period.

6) AMC will be offered to Customer other than Point 5 above only after inspection of the product and ensuring that the product is in working condition. However, if product is outside warranty and not in working condition, then the product will be repaired on chargeable basis first and then AMC can be taken/issued to customer on exceptional basis as decided by the Company.

7) AMC (Comprehensive) covers 2 scheduled maintenance visits in a year and only Operational parts which are critical to ensure performance of the product’s essential functions (Cost of all spare components that are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty) are covered. All types of filters and membrane replacement is covered once in a year (if required).

8) This policy is issued on non-refundable basis, for any reason whatsoever. There shall be no refund of the charges for unexpired period.

9) The product shall be made available for servicing as and when our Authorised Service Engineer calls for rendering periodical servicing visit. Failure to do so by Customer will be treated as a service rendered and no refund shall accrue on this account.

10) Every visit by our Authorised Service Engineer will be made within reasonable time from receipt of a complaint for breakdown of the product.

11) Service will be provided during the normal business hours on working days of the Company and no visits will be made on Sunday / Holidays. Customers are requested to ensure that Service Engineer who is attending or visiting during complaint carry his ID card for identification purpose.

12) Customer will have to register his complaint at Call Centre numbers and Email Ids mentioned in this Contract

13) Company’s Authorized Service Centre / Engineer will only be authorized to perform Repairs / Service under this AMC for all covered product(s).

The customer must register his request at WideCare call centre to request change of location. WideCare authorized service centre will carry out un-installation and reinstallation on chargeable basis and thereafter, the AMC will continue for unexpired period.
