1. Definitions – Insured Equipment – New Mobile Handset / Tablets (Mobile Device) / Portable Device legally imported in India, purchased through an official channel supported by a valid proof of purchase. Sum Insured – Cost of equipment only as per the purchase invoice including GST Beneficiary – Purchaser of the mobile device as per the purchase invoice. However, beneficiary of the mobile device can be direct family members viz. his/ her spouse, children or parents. If the purchaser is a “Company”, beneficiary shall mean any representative / employee of the company authorized to use the mobile device. 2. Cover – Accidental Damage and Liquid Damage, subject to Terms and Conditions, definitions and Exclusions as mentioned in Policy Certificate. 3. Conditions – a. Geographical Limit – India b. Policy is not transferable. c. Policy must be bought within 15 Days from the date of new device sale. d. In case of Accidental Damage, notify Service Provider within 48 hours from the time damage has taken place. e. The request for change in IMEI No. / Serial No. should be intimated to the insurer not later than 30 days after replacement in case of DOA / Swap. f. Any correction (Spelling mistake) in policy holder’s nameshould be intimated within 7 days from the date of policy sale supported with a valid identity proof. g. Policy issued on reinstatement basis. h. Claim settlement in case of Total Loss will be done by replacement / like to like device. 4. Salvage - NA 5. Excess – NA. 6. Total Loss – On Total Loss, Like to Like mobile devices would be provided. 7. Partial Loss - Maximum liability shall be cost of repair and / or replacement, If the repair cost or maximum liability at the time of loss exceeds the total loss settlement, insurer shall settle the claim on Total Loss basis under BER (Beyond Economic Repair). If the repair value is more than the net claim payable, beneficiary has to bear the difference between repair value and approved amount. 8. Depreciation – There will be No Depreciation applicable. 9. Maximum 2 Claims are permissible during the tenure of protection plan. 10. Total liability during the tenure of protection plan will be cost of equipment only as per the purchase invoice including GST. 11. Period of Risk - Period of Risk shall mean a continuous period of 12 months commencing from the date of purchase of protection plan from WideCare by the first buyer of the product.
